It won’t be long before the Democratic as well as the Republican National Parties will both be developing their party platforms for the upcoming 2020 elections. Gun Control will be an issue as it usually is for both parties. The Democrats will call for “stricter gun control” (RI Governor Gina Raimondo) and the Republicans will insist “leave our guns alone”. The Democrats will rail against the NRA and by association denounce the law abiding gun owners in America. The Republicans will embrace the NRA and the gun-owners of America. The tug of war will continue and it appears that the battle will intensify as many cities and states controlled by Democrats have already enacted stricter gun control legislation.........

If we think we can live without God, we need to think again. There is a battle being waged and it is the battle between Christ and the anti-Christ. Writing 100 years ago, Russian Christian philosopher Nicolai Berdyaev said..."there cannot be religious neutrality or absence of religion; to the religion of the living God is opposed the religion of Satan...facing the faith of Christ there is the faith of anti-Christ". I came across this Billy Graham Prayer and could not help but think how appropriate it is to today's times.

As I sat in one of the several overflow rooms at last Tuesday night’s hearings on H5125 and H5127, all I could think of was Luke’s Gospel account of what Jesus said as He was dying. The several Rabbis who presented their pro-choice viewpoint made it very clear that these bills should in no way be morally based on any religion. I agree, these pending RI House bills should not be religious based. I do get that. They should be based on fact, but I honestly could not keep my brain from thinking about Luke 23:34. So, leaving .........
